This is a mountain or “zenaida” dove who was handraised by a surrogate human family when it fell from its nest into a busy street. This bird still exists today in the wild but remains tamed. This species is very common throughout the West Indies. |
This triptych was exhibited as part of a group photography show at the Walsh Metal Works Gallery, St. Croix, USVI in July 2003. I have been interested in what viewers bring to the interpretation of the images... the construct of the “set” leads people to create interpretations that fit the framework of three.
